Solve My Homework AI — Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use the Solve My Homework AI mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

  1. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY

1.1 This Policy applies to information processed through the App on iOS and Android, and to communications you send to us. 1.2 This Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties we do not control, including the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the third-party processing services described in Section 5, each of which maintains its own privacy policy. 1.3 We may update this Policy from time to time as described in Section 12.

  1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1 Anonymous device identifier. When the App is first launched, it generates a random identifier that is not derived from your name, email address, phone number, or hardware serial number. This identifier is used solely to (a) count the number of free requests made from your device each day, and (b) associate your device with an active PRO subscription entitlement. It is distinct from the mobile advertising identifier described in Section 2.6. 2.2 Content you submit. When you type a question, submit a writing request, or photograph material, the text or image you submit is transmitted over an encrypted connection to our server and to the third-party processors described in Section 5 for the sole purpose of generating a response. 2.3 Subscription information. If you purchase a PRO subscription, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We receive only an anonymized entitlement status (for example, "active" or "expired") through our subscription management provider. We never receive your name, payment card number, billing address, or other payment credentials. 2.4 Support communications. If you contact us by email or through the in-App contact or feedback forms, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and the contents of your message. 2.5 Information we do NOT collect ourselves. The App does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address (except when you contact us voluntarily), physical address, phone number, contact list, precise geolocation, browsing history, or biometric data. We do not use the Content you submit (your questions, images, or text) for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about you. 2.6 Advertising data (free tier). The free version of the App displays advertisements served through Google AdMob. All advertising in the App is non-personalized. Non-personalized advertisements are selected on the basis of general context rather than your interests or your past behaviour, but Google's Mobile Ads SDK still processes limited technical information in order to deliver them, including a mobile advertising identifier, IP address, and general device and app information, for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregate reporting, and fraud prevention. The App does not track you across other apps or websites, does not ask permission to do so, and does not ask your age. On Apple devices the App therefore does not present the App Tracking Transparency prompt, because it does not use the Advertising Identifier for tracking. PRO subscribers do not see advertisements at all. Google processes the advertising data it collects as an independent party under its own policies; see Sections 5 and 11.

2.9 Optional account information. The App works fully without an account. If you choose to create one, we collect and store the following:

2.10 Signing in. The App offers Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google only. Both are handled by Apple and Google themselves; we never see or store a password.

2.11 We do not sell, rent, or share account information with advertisers. Creating an account does not change the advertising you see: all advertising in the App is non-personalised for every user, signed in or not.

2.12 Deleting your account. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from Settings → My Account → Delete my account, without contacting us. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and removes your email address, name, profile, history, and saved answers from our servers. Your app-store subscription is billed separately by Apple or Google and is not cancelled by deleting your account — cancel that through the store.

Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app, or from this page if you no longer have the app installed: How to delete your account and your data.

2.13 Interface translation. If you select a language the App does not ship with, the English wording of the App's own buttons and labels is sent to our AI provider to be translated, and the translated wording is cached on our server so it does not need translating again. This contains no personal information — only the App's own interface text.

  1. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

3.1 We use the information described above to: (a) generate the answers, explanations, translations, writing assistance, and calculations you request; (b) enforce free-tier daily limits; (c) verify and honor PRO subscription entitlements; (d) maintain the security, stability, and performance of the App and our server infrastructure; (e) respond to support inquiries; (f) display non-personalized advertisements to free-tier users through Google AdMob, as described in Section 2.6; and (g) comply with applicable legal obligations. 3.2 We do NOT use the Content you submit — your questions, images, or text — to build advertising profiles or to target advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Because all advertising in the App is non-personalized, advertisements are never selected using your Content, your interests, or your activity in other apps. 3.3 We do not use your Content to train our own artificial intelligence models. Third-party processors handle data in accordance with their own published policies, as described in Section 5.

  1. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (EEA/UK USERS)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation or the UK GDPR applies, we process information on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract, in order to provide the App and generate responses you request; (b) legitimate interests, in order to secure and operate the service, prevent abuse of free-tier limits, and improve reliability, balanced against your rights and freedoms; (c) consent, which we gather through a Google-certified consent message before serving advertisements to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, and which you may withdraw at any time through the privacy options offered in that message; and (d) compliance with legal obligations, where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.

  1. THIRD-PARTY PROCESSORS AND DISCLOSURES

5.1 We share information only as necessary to operate the App, with the following categories of processors: (a) AI processing providers (currently OpenAI), which receive the text of your questions and, where applicable, images you submit, in order to generate responses; (b) optical character recognition providers (currently Google Cloud Vision), which may receive images you submit in order to extract text, where that feature is enabled; (c) subscription management providers (currently RevenueCat), which process anonymized subscription entitlement data; (d) hosting and infrastructure providers, which process data incidentally in the course of operating our servers; and (e) advertising providers (currently Google AdMob), which serve non-personalized advertisements to free-tier users and, in doing so, process a mobile advertising identifier and related device information as described in Section 2.6. 5.2 Each processor or partner acts under its own privacy policy and applicable data-processing terms. 5.3 We may also disclose information: (a) if required to do so by law, regulation, subpoena, or other legal process; (b) to enforce our Terms of Service or protect the rights, property, or safety of the Provider, our users, or the public; (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case the successor entity will be bound by this Policy or will provide notice of changes; and (d) with your consent.

  1. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

If, and only if, You grant notification permission on Your device, the Application registers a push token issued by Apple or Google, together with the random device identifier described above, so that reminders and occasional offers can be delivered. The token identifies a device, not a person, and is never sold or shared for advertising. It is used for two automatic reminders (when Your daily questions reset and when Your Faster Answers reset) and for occasional messages about features and offers. You may withdraw permission at any time in Your device settings; when You do, the Application tells the server to stop sending, and the token is marked opted out. Records that have not confirmed an opt-in are excluded from every send.

  1. DATA RETENTION

6.1 Content you submit is processed transiently to generate a response and is not stored by us after the response is delivered to your device. Images you photograph are passed straight through to the processors described in Section 5 and are never written to our storage. 6.2 Daily usage counters consist only of the anonymous device identifier, a date, and a number, and are overwritten on a rolling basis as each new day begins. 6.3 Subscription entitlement records are retained for as long as needed to honor your subscription and to comply with financial record-keeping obligations. 6.4 Support and feedback messages are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to address your inquiry and maintain business records. 6.5 Advertising data collected by Google AdMob is retained and handled by Google under its own policies. 6.6 We may retain information longer where required by law, or in anonymized or aggregated form that does not identify you.

  1. DATA SECURITY

7.1 All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. 7.2 API credentials and server secrets are stored server-side and are never embedded in the App or distributed to devices. 7.3 We employ commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. 7.4 No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You use the App at your own risk to the extent permitted by applicable law.

  1. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Our servers and processors may be located in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where information is transferred from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to a country that has not received an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognized by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses implemented by our processors.

  1. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

9.1 The App is intended for students aged thirteen (13) and older, and is not directed to children under thirteen (13). 9.2 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13) (or the higher minimum age applicable in your jurisdiction). The App's design minimizes data collection for all users: no account, no name, no email, and no precise location is collected through the App, and all advertising is non-personalized for every user, regardless of age. 9.3 If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at the address in Section 13 and we will delete it. 9.4 Users under eighteen (18) should use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian, as described in the Terms of Service.

  1. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

10.1 Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have some or all of the following rights with respect to personal information: the right to access, the right to correction or rectification, the right to deletion or erasure, the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. 10.2 California residents: the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, grants rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. Because all advertising in the App is non-personalized, we do not engage in "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. 10.3 You can further limit ad-related data collection by using your device's settings to reset or limit your mobile advertising identifier, and by subscribing to PRO, which removes advertisements entirely. 10.4 Because the App stores no personal data tied to your identity, most requests can be satisfied by deleting the App from your device, which permanently discards the anonymous device identifier and any associated usage counter. 10.5 To exercise any right, or if you have questions about your data, contact us at the address in Section 13. We may need to verify your request and will respond within the time required by applicable law. 10.6 Do Not Track: the App does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals because it does not engage in cross-site or cross-app tracking.

  1. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

The App may contain links to, or open, third-party websites and services, including your device's subscription settings and app store review pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such third parties, and this Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use, including: OpenAI (openai.com/policies), Google Cloud (cloud.google.com/terms), Google AdMob and Google advertising technologies (policies.google.com/technologies/ads), RevenueCat (revenuecat.com/privacy), Apple (apple.com/legal/privacy), and Google Play (policies.google.com/privacy).

  1. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy and, where required by applicable law, provide additional notice within the App. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
